The most valuable part of every destination are the people who know it, live it and proudly share its stories. Local Host hosts are exactly that, destination ambassadors who create experiences beyond a traditional stay through their hospitality, personal approach and knowledge of local values.

The Local Host label highlights accommodation providers whose hosts offer guests an authentic experience of the destination – through recommendations for discovering local attractions, stories about the area they call home and personal interaction that adds special value to every stay.

The “Your Host / Local Host” programme was launched by the Croatian Tourist Board and the Ministry of Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Croatia with the aim of recognising and promoting quality private accommodation providers who nurture traditional Croatian hospitality and allow guests to experience destinations from the perspective of local hosts.
